Independence & Transparency
ClearanceX is an independent deals aggregator. This page explains how we decide which deals to list and how they are ranked. Our goal is full transparency so you can trust how the available price evidence was assessed.
We rank deals based on the recency of meaningful price changes, our deal assessment, availability, discount depth, and current price. Commission rate does not determine whether a deal is listed. A higher commission never pushes a deal above a better-priced or more relevant alternative.
The default feed prioritises recent price changes first, followed by deal rating and stock availability. Discount depth and current price are later tie-breakers.
A product must meet all of the following conditions to appear on ClearanceX:
- Reviewed using at least one available price signal: a retailer markdown, ClearanceX-tracked price history, or fresh competitor pricing
- Available from an Australian retailer ClearanceX currently tracks
- Offered by a reputable, well-known retailer
- Still in stock at the time the feed is refreshed
- Relevant to our household-shopper audience
ClearanceX does not accept payment for preferential placement. Retailers cannot pay to have their deals ranked higher or to have competing deals suppressed. The feed order is determined solely by the criteria described above.
We may list deals from retailers where we earn a commission and from retailers where we have no commercial relationship at all. The presence or absence of a commission has no bearing on whether a deal appears.
Deal data is refreshed regularly from retailer feeds, but prices and availability can change between refreshes. We always recommend verifying the final price on the retailer's own product page before purchasing. If you find an expired or incorrect deal, please let us know.
Deals ranked by value, not by commission.
